Edeptis IV

Planet in the Edeptis system, on the galactic rim. The Edeptans are short, red skin, yellow eyes. It is a recent signatory to the Sydys Concordat.

The planet has areas that are very rich in mineral resources, and grows extremely large corundum and diamond crystals, such that they are often used in slab form as medallions. Other parts of the planet are poorer in resources, however, and may not even have basics like power generation stations.

The soil tends to greenish tones, and the foliage tends reddish. Given the inhabitants' genitalia is plant-like, and they possess reddish epidermal layers, it is unknown as yet if they are plant- or animal-based sentients. They are currently classified as Verod in the Gibheer Morphology System, which is a kind of catch-all designation. When more is known about the Edeptan people, this classification may change to a more suitable designation.
