Trigonium

A mineral found in some quantity in the Large Magellanic Cloud (most likely a form of the Earth mineral, rutile, an ore of titanium). It is an important ore in the technologies used by the inhabitants of the LMC.

It is typically obtained in deep mines on normally-uninhabited dwarf planets or asteroids. Due to the difficulty and danger in mining it there, the inhabitants of the LMC usually use slave labor.
