Specialized Smart Cell Phones

These resemble normal Earth cell phones but have many more abilities and app features. These include:

• ear buds that tuck inside the ear canal, and are effectively invisible
• subvocal microphones that can hide in the necktie knots or shirt collars and pick up on unvocalized communications via throat and jaw movements
• lots of apps, including but not limited to:
  • a basic spectral-reader-type app which resembles the science scanning device on a certain classic 1960s science fiction TV series
  • games
  • emergency beacon
  • location beacon
  • flashlight
  • beam searchlight
  • control of a personal force field device
