On Earth it is considered a kaiju. It has a birdlike, hollow endoskeleton and a chitin-like silicon polymer shell/scales, similar to a mica. It is not a water/oxygen based organism. It does not have lungs, and relies upon what it consumes for all nutrition, including oxidizing agents. Lithium is a primary nutrient, and instead of water, it drinks ethyl methyl ether, also known as methoxyethane. It dissolves its prey with a viscous solution of organolithium reagents in its sputum, The sputum is shot through its proboscis with some force, in a roughly spherical bolus, enabling a kind of "targeting" of its prey. Any organic material struck by the bolus will begin to dissolve almost instantly. Non-organics, such as metal, stone, or concrete, are unaffected, but water will violently explode. Once the methoxyethane solvent has evaporated from the bolus, it begins to solidify, but can then start to react with the ambient atmosphere. This saliva, when reacting with the oxygen and water vapor in the atmosphere, can spontaneously combust, which means any residue is capable of starting fires in an oxygen atmosphere.
