Died in a ranching accident when his horse threw a shoe at a gallop, then went down and rolled on James. The saddle horn pierced his chest and he died in moments. Death at age 41.

Echo's maternal grandfather and Dihl's father.
Death of multiple aging diseases including diabetes and possibly cancer. Died on the reservation around age 65.
